Absolutely true and from now on I am going to do just that. Actually it will make things worse because I'll just switch channels. Switching channels all evening uses 13% more electricity tahn if you stay on the same channel. That is enough electricity to power Sizewell B for 3 days.
I think it depends what you're watching, Tom. Celebrity Love Island and Big Brother are the worst because of all the extra boredom induced visits to the fridge and kettle the entail.
I don't know. There are some very well educated very important people holding down very important jobs that seem to have no concept of common sense at all. I despair.
I know that Pam, we've all been doing it but it's taken so long for the US to wise up to the fact that trading off emissions allowances in lieu of actually cutting emissions isn't actually a responsible outlook.
Sorry to come to this late, I have been watching television. I have it on pause now, because I don't want to miss the offerings from QVC. Tom told me about ear hair trimmers for 38p including package and posting. I am pleased that you are all showing concern for the environment. I will only be commenting in future when my computer is turned off.
I haven't watched TV for 8 days. Do I get prize? As for the last time I actually switched on the TV, that's so long ago that I don't even remember it. I have to be careful though, I don't want my halo slipping ;-)

I comprise a full set of limbs and organs of both the sensory and vital types. Sadly many of these are now performing with a decreasing level of functionality.

Which do you think uses up more of the Earth's natural resources? Coronation Street? Or EastEnders?
I'll adjust my viewing schedule accordingly.
Why can't our so-called leaders be as logical as you, Richard?

If we all turned our TV sets off period, we'd all become sane again.
We wouldn't be exposed to George Bush, Entertainment Tonight and reality shows.
What a concept.
But I'd still want to watch tapes of Family Guy, Monty Python and Get Smart.
Now that they've woken up to the damage they've been doing I do hope that the US doesn't turn this into an industry.
Hey, we're not the only ones damaging the planet buddy!
How much less damage could we do if we stopped reading and commenting on vicus' blog?

I haven't switched the tv on since Tuesday, I've got points in the bank. They're not for sale.
